Customs formalities
We check that your customs documents are properly closed for export. By request, we can also handle import and export documents for your client, issue T-1 documents for transit to the shipment's final destination and take care of Carnet ATA, CITES and cultural goods documents where required.

Our team assists with loading and unloading, so handling stays in trained hands and trucks turn around fast.

Do you run your own trucks?
We don’t have our own trucks but prefer to work with a trusted network of road transport partners, from fine art shippers to specialised trucking companies. The coordination stays in our hands from start to finish.
Can we pick up and deliver on our own trucks?
Yes, you can handle the road transport with your own company trucks and Fortius takes care of the rest. When the timing allows it, we group your shipment with another client’s, which reduces the cost for everyone involved.
Can I keep using my own transport partners?
Of course. Many forwarders organise the road transport themselves. We coordinate the airport side, with freight zone timing, loading or unloading, and supervision if you want it.
Which truck do I need for sniffer dog securing?
The truck needs to be operated by a regulated agent or their certified subcontractor with a valid RA number. If you comply with this rule, you can use your own trucks. In all other cases, Fortius can provide road transport in collaboration with a regulated agent running TAPA/TSR certified vehicles. The trailers we book are climate controlled, take up to 3 m of load height and keep the secured chain intact from securing to delivery to the airport.
Can we book road transports with no link to Luxembourg?
No. Every transport we handle must start or end at Luxembourg Airport, or run within Luxembourg for local pickups and deliveries. For a route between two other cities we can put you in touch with a local agent from our network.
What about smaller or lower-value shipments?
Not every shipment needs a dedicated fine art truck. Where risk and budget allow it, we arrange an art truck without climate control, a van or a courier service.
